Farmers’ Market Set to Sprout Friday, May 21, 2010

Sugarcreek Township, Ohio, May 14, 2010 – Sugarcreek Township is pleased to announce that the 2010 Farmers’ Market will open on Friday, May 21, 2010.  The Farmers’ Market is held on Fridays from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at 4333 Feedwire Road in the grassy area adjacent to PetSmart.  Now entering its second year, the Sugarcreek Township Farmers’ Market is looking forward to the 2010 season.  “Last year attendance and sales surpassed what we ever thought possible.  The local farmers and producers are so excited to return to Sugarcreek Township for another season,” said Barry Tiffany, Township Administrator.  “It has become a wonderful weekly destination and gathering place for our communities.”  Some examples of what you might find at the Sugarcreek Township Farmers’ Market include certified organic and conventionally grown fruits and vegetables, grass fed beef, grass fed lamb, pork, chicken, eggs, fresh baked breads, cookies and desserts, raw honey, soaps, berries, jams, spun llama wool, organic lavender, farmstead and artisan cheese, fresh cut flowers, perennials, locally roasted coffee beans, and more!  Vendors slated to return this year include Persinger Farms, National Trail Family Farm, Webb Valley Farm, Busy Bee Produce, White Mountain Honey Farm, Sneaky Cat Bakery, Chris’ Honey, Dragonfly Gardens, Blue Jacket Dairy, Mill Branch Farm, Busy Bee Produce, Akhilesh Nigam, Big Sky Bread Company, Berryhill Farm, TJ’s Gardens, Mill Branch Farm, Papaw’s Produce, Jackson’s Farm Market, Irons Fruit Farm, and Rosemary’s Garden.  Vendors new to the market include Cattail Acres Gourmet, Diane’s Delights, Bell Hop Café, Edge Family Farm, Peaceful Acres Lavender Farm, Heather’s Goodies, and Cooks Organic Farm.  The market will be held every Friday, May 21-October 29, from 3-7 p.m.  For more information, contact us at (937) 848-8426.
